Description

In the park there is a natural spring – the Cesarovac Spring.
It is designed in a classicist style.
It serves as a monument to the construction of Ogulin’s first water supply system.
It was commissioned by Ogulin’s colonel Štefan Šuplikac in 1847.
The water initially flowed from the spring below Klek through wooden pipes, later through clay pipes, which were replaced by iron ones in 1882.

Additional information

For many generations of Ogulin residents, Cesarovac means more than just a well where a weary traveler could refresh himself. It is a symbol of the town, a part of its identity.
In the memories of former boys, it was the place from which you could keep the entire old Korzo under perfect control.
Cesarovac was also a place of first loves.
Small sweet secrets were discovered there, and many Oguliners—now long forgotten—first imagined their beautiful stories about life “somewhere else” right there.
And they left. They returned rarely, then even less often, and eventually not at all.
And they left us with the responsibility of caring for the Spring of their childhood and ours, and the childhood of those before us.
